The August Press

Kate Punnett is a Canadian pressed floral artist and founder of The August Press, a stationery and flower press company whose tools are used by pressers across North America. Her fine art practice began in the garden and grew from a sustainable floral studio rooted in regional and seasonal flowers into an exploration of preservation, memory, and place. Working with pressed botanicals, Punnett creates compositions that transform fleeting flowers into lasting records of a particular season, landscape, or moment. Her work explores the tension between fragility and permanence, treating pressing as an act of care and hope - a way of carrying something temporary forward.
