Antonio Prints

I grew up in central Mexico, surrounded by rolling hills and thousand-year-old cultures that shaped how I see the world. Woodcut prints have long been used there by revolutionary and social movements to convey the lives of marginalized communities, a legacy that informs my practice. I work with woodcuts and linocuts because they are genuine, tactile, and essential. Carving in wood helps me capture what I see when I close my eyes. Born in Mexico and now based in Toronto, my work bridges memory, place, and tradition.
