Amy K Fitzgerald Art

Amy K. Fitzgerald is a Toronto-based mixed-media artist known for her vibrant geometric abstractions. Inspired by the textile traditions of the women in her family, including quilting, rug-making and tatting, she brings precision, repetition and care to her practice. Her process begins by painting richly coloured and textured papers, which she cuts and catalogues into a material library. Guided by sketched geometry, she arranges the fragments onto wood panels to create compositions filled with colour, balance and rhythm. The circle appears throughout her work as a symbol of unity, wholeness and connection. Born in California, she studied art and design in Los Angeles before making Toronto her home.
